Holy September, Batman! I LOVE autumn... normally. But this is not "normal" autumn. It's "NEW normal" autumn. Usually, it's back-to-school sales for new notebooks, that crisp leaves smell while apple picking, donning a scarf to hunt pumpkin spice baked goods... Now it's Zoom and homeschooling, apple-cider candles inside, and... okay, that last one may still happen at my house because coronabaking is an addiction (bad for my waistline; good one for my taste buds.)
Is anyone else going a bit crazy? Of course, I respect and understand the reasons for caution (I am a sicentist). But I often struggle with things out of my control, which is why I like authoring and especially being an indie author. These days, I get pretty frustrated with not being able to do the things I'd like to.
But there are some exciting things happening amidst the challenges....

I've always wanted to attend Penned Con, and the first year I sign up, it's postponed to 2021... But (SURPRISE TWIST), the amazing organizers have added a VIRTUAL version this year! That means that ANYONE who has Facebook can attend -- no need to fly to St. Louis or pay for a rare ticket for entry. You can meet/interact with authors, play games, order all the books ON YOUR OWN TIME (open for a week -- no need to rush from table to table in one day). Pluse, any signed books you purchase will be DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR (no heavy suitcase). You can also vote for your favorite books and authors for various award categories!
JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP where all the virtual book-con fun will happen on SEPT 14-19. I'll be 11:30 AM EDT Wed 9/16.
Or head straight to the complete list of Attending Author Book Order Forms open til 9/25! (and bring your unused summer vaca piggy bank to fill your bookshelves). ;)

MORTAL SCREAM (Harbingers of Death Book 1), my first co-write with the awesomesauce LeAnn Mason, releases September 8 -- a week EARLIER than planned! (Note: the paperback version WILL be available at the virtual signing!) Early readers are already asking for book 2 (which is in the works! Preorder Fatal Sight here)... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Hot damn!! What a flipping amazing story this is. You automatically jump right in with the first sentence and you’re still in the story with the last sentence. The characters are unique, original, bad ass and just flat out amazing. This is a story that’s a page turner and you want to keep reading it until you finish the book. " ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"You're instantly sucked into the story and it doesn't release you till way after the end." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"This is one of the best books I have read. The characters are life like and so amazing. "

Readers' Favorite also recently announced that One Loan Soul won GOLD in the Paranormal Fiction category of the International Excellence in Writing Awards!
This honor was chosen from hundreds of books by their judging committee. That makes OLS a multi-award winner (after being voted Read Freely's 12th Best Indie Book of 2019 by readers.)
