Progress

I'm cranking out a few more books to meet my 2023 reading goals while working on three new series (two with my lovely sometimes-co-author LeAnn Mason). That includes giving a Pulitzer Prize winner and a few BookTok and Bestseller listers a chance (i.e., Demon Copperhead, Fourth Wing, and Legends and Lattes).

In other words, I enjoyed Black Friday sales to stock up my Audible, Kindle, and physical libraries.

The writing is a bit slow-going (my first year in a while conceding to NaNoWriMo). However it IS going (I wrote over 25,000 words in three different books in 30 days, which is still GREAT progress). I'll take it, especially given the major chaos/stressors in my personal and 9-5 life this fall, let alone the holidays that always seem like a good opportunity for writing marathons and then end up too busy or distracting for peaceful muse-channeling.

With 31 days left in the year, here's to closing out 2023 WITH OPTIMISM and APPRECIATION FOR PROGRESS (after all, my 2023 "resolution" was to make fewer goals)--and meeting my 2023 reading goal! :)

To celebrate my birthday in November, I visited Harry Potter world (left); prepped for a new series' book cover reveal in early 2024 (middle); and enjoyed the cooler weather for hot drinks, snuggly blankets and cats, and warm fires while reading on a new Kindle (right).
